Prevention & Intervention (P&I) is a pilot project that began in 2022, and Triple H is one of the several nonprofit organizations partnering with the Bandera County Probation Department. Bandera County is conducting this pilot for the State of Texas with a goal of replicating the program throughout the state. The P&I project works with younger kids, ages 6-13, and older kids, ages 12-17, who have been identified as being at higher risk to become involved in juvenile crime and risky behavior because of their circumstances. Many of them have older siblings who have been involved with the juvenile justice system. Many have behavior problems at school. Some have recently come off probation. The objective is to give them an opportunity to change their unhealthy behaviors and keep them out of the criminal justice system.
